Event Preview

The year is drawing to a close, with Christmas just around the corner. You are visiting the frontier planet Muirauka I at the request of a pair of sibling space hunters.

No sooner have you finished the job and taken a breather than a distress signal, heavy with static, reaches the space hunters.

“If this signal has reached you… please! Lend us your strength!”

The source is the frozen frontier planet Muirauka VI. What greets you there, amid the lingering stench of a great war, is the sender of the distress call: a boastful pioneer corps leader.

His settlers and their territory have been attacked by the mysterious invaders known as the “Spectral Army,” and now lie in a state of utter devastation.

Together with a trainee hunter’s hound boy hero who is thrilled beyond measure at seeing snow for the first time, and a serious, earnest trainee hunter boy hero, you launch a grand operation to save the pioneer corps on the brink of annihilation.

A misfortune-prone hunter who emerges from the wreckage of a crashed spaceship is swept up in the chaos as well, and the battle to reclaim the settlers’ “family” members begins to unfold in an unexpected direction…

Will you be able to welcome the long-awaited festival day known as “Thawing Christmas,” with the entire “family” together at last?

ムイラウカⅥのイェヴレボッケンで、
警備任務を請けた{0}は、
あまりの寒さに気を失いそうになっていた。

防寒具の用意こそ怠らなかったものの、
現地の環境は想定していたよりも厳しく、
吹き付ける寒風が急速に体温を奪っていく。

歯をガチガチと鳴らして震える
{0}だったが、
突然、何者かの手が肩に置かれた。

驚いて振り向いた{0}の前には、
水筒を抱えた開拓団の老人が立っている。
その老人は湯気の立つ飲み物をマグカップに注ぐと、
{0}に手渡してきた。

促されるままに飲み物を飲んだ{0}は、
全身がポカポカと温まっていくのを感じた。
老人の話によると、イェヴレボッケンで
古くから重宝されている香草を煎じた飲み物らしい。

身体の芯から温まった{0}は、
この地に根付くヒトビトの知恵と優しさを感じながら、
これまで以上に熱心に警備に当たるのだった。

{0}と{1}は、
イェヴレボッケンの拠点周辺を
パトロールする仕事を請けていた。

開拓民からスノーモービルのようなマシンを
提供された２人は、それぞれがハンドルを握って
雪原のパトロールに繰り出していく。

{0}は効率的に見回りをするため、
徐々にスピードを上げていき、
最終的には凄まじい速度で拠点周辺を疾走。

一方{1}は、
爆走する{0}との衝突を避けるために
アクロバティックな回避テクニックを披露する。

まるで曲芸のような２人のドライビングに、
拠点の子供たちが釘付けになっていた。
その興奮は、子供たちの親へと伝播していく。

そして、無事に警備を終えた２人が拠点に戻り、
互いにフィストバンプを行うと開拓民は大いに湧いた。

２人のドライビング警備は伝説となり、
雪原最速のバディとして語り継がれるのだった。

イェヴレボッケンの開拓団の拠点に、
４人のヒーローが集っていた。

依頼内容は、熱心に働く鉱夫たちを楽しませるために、
拠点をクリスマスらしく飾り付けること。

{0}と{1}は、
以前に地球で読んだ本を思い出しながら、
拠点の広場に巨大な雪だるまを作り上げる。

{2}と{3}は、
自分たちで持ち込んだイルミネーションライトを、
拠点の外壁にぐるぐると巻き付けた。

{2}たちの飾り付けのワイルドさに
少々面食らう{0}だったが、
拠点に戻ってきた鉱夫たちは、
ピカピカと輝く拠点に大きな歓声を上げた。

一方、拠点の子供は{1}たちの
巨大雪だるまに夢中になって遊んでいる。

これで良かったのだと互いの健闘を称えながら、
４人は{3}の作ってくれた
温かいスープを飲んで笑い合うのだった。
