Denebora wears a hero suit modeled after the hunting garb of the tribe’s first chieftain, a figure remembered as the “Legendary Hunter.” Designed to adapt to any hunting scenario, the suit appears light and unencumbered, yet conceals a wide array of parallel weapons, ranging from handgun-type arms to dagger-like blades. Favoring claw-shaped weapons above all others, Denebora moves with the grace of a sudden gust of wind, leaping fluidly into motion and striking vital points with unerring precision in the very next instant. Guided by the tribe’s belief that ‘a hunt is a one-on-one exchange of life, Denebora puts these parallel weapons to use not in war, but in pursuit of justice, capturing wanted villains and earning a living as a bounty hunter.

デネボラは「伝説の狩人」と部族に語り継がれる初代族長の狩り装束に似たヒーロースーツに身を包む。あらゆる狩りの状況に適応するため、身軽に見えるそのスーツにはハンドガン型やダガー型など様々なパラレルウェポンが内包されている。特に鉤爪型のものを好むデネボラは、一陣の風と共にしなやかに跳び、次の瞬間には確実に急所を討ち、ミッションを遂行する。「狩りは一対一で行う命のやり取り」だという部族の教えの元、パラレルウェポンを駆使するデネボラは、指名手配中のヴィランたちを捕縛し、バウンティハンターとして生計を立てている。

“Hunting means taking a life.” That was the lesson Denebora’s father impressed upon him, a belief made all the more cruel when the man himself lost his life on a hunt. From then on, Denebora grew up with the understanding that the hunter would one day become the hunted, and with death ever at his side, he learned to accept it as an unavoidable truth of the world. That certainty, however, was shattered during a single, fateful hunt. Denebora’s younger brother—clumsy, hesitant, and poorly suited for the chase—defied the tribe’s laws to drag him back from the brink of death. In that moment, the boy’s actions, and his desperate plea to “value life,” struck deeper than any wound, forcing Denebora into conflict with both the tribe’s traditions and his father’s teachings. From that turmoil, a new conviction took root. The necklace Denebora wears is a handmade gift from his brother, a quiet reminder of that turning point. Until the day he can reclaim him from those who abducted him before his very eyes, Denebora will never part with it.

「狩りは命を頂くことだ」そう教えた父は狩りの最中に命を落とした。狩る者は、いつか狩られる側になる。その考えと共に成長したデネボラには普段から死が身近であり、そういうものだと割り切ることも多かった。しかし、ある日の狩りでデネボラの価値観は崩れ落ちる。それは狩りが不得手な弟が、部族の掟に背いてまでもデネボラを死の淵から救い出した出来事だった。弟の行動が、「命を大切にしろ」と諭した言葉が、部族の掟と父の教えに葛藤を刻み、デネボラの新たな礎となった。胸元のネックレスは、弟が贈ってくれた手作りのもの。目の前で拉致された彼を取り戻す日まで、デネボラが肌身から離すことはない。

Side Story

A young man distinguished by the horns growing from his forehead, a feature that has become his trademark. He was born into a merit-based tribe whose civilization revolves around hunting, and he has a much younger brother. Having only recently left his closed-off homeland, he still shows a sheltered, inexperienced side to the wider world. Whether by bad luck or because others took advantage of that naivety, he has often suffered misfortune, falling for deals that seemed too good to be true. Those experiences have left him exceptionally wary of others. For reasons even he does not fully understand, he is perpetually short on money, struggling to keep up with the loan payments on a spaceship he purchased in a once-in-a-lifetime decision, justified as being “for work.” Having grown up without anything resembling a proper meal, he will never forget the shock—and the tears—of tasting a hamburger for the first time in Earth space.

額から生えている角がトレードマークの青年。狩猟に特化した文明を持つ実力主義の部族の生まれで、歳の離れた弟がいる。閉ざされた環境から出て間もなく、世間知らずな一面も見られる。そこに付け込まれてか、これまでうまい話に騙されるなど不憫な目に遭った経験も多く、警戒心は人一倍強くなった。どうしてか万年金欠に悩んでおり、仕事の為と一世一代の決断で購入した宇宙船のローンの支払いに苦心しているようだ。まともな食事とは無縁だったため、地球圏でハンバーガーを初めて食べたときの感動と流した涙は忘れることはない。
