ヒーローに変身したルーディンは、派手なステージ衣装のスーツを身に纏う。子供時代にヒーローであった彼は、大人になった今の変身姿にも、往時の印象が影響している。当時着用していたマントが肩布として使われていたり、マジックの相棒だったマスコットがシルクハットから顔を覗かせていたり、といった具合だ。パラレルウェポンであるステッキとシルクハットから繰り出される奇想天外なマジックの数々は、バトルでありながらもエンターテインメントショーとして観るヒトの目を釘付けにしていく。

Transformed into a hero, Roudin wears a flashy stage outfit. Having been a hero as a child, he still holds onto some pieces of the old days. The cloak he used to wear then he now wears as a sash, and his old mascot partner now pops out of his top hat. His magic rod and silk hat serve as his Parallel Weapons, unleashing a variety of magic tricks, both deadly and flashy, that turn battles into entertainment which bystanders are compelled to watch.

かつて天才マジシャンとして、そしてヒーローとして活躍していたルーディン。しかしながら大人になるにつれてその人気は低迷。自身の夢に揺らぎが生じ、ついに変身することも出来なくなった。その過去の全てを棄てた彼だったが、なぜかショービズの都市に流れ着いてしまったところを老舗ホテルのオーナーに拾われ、その後ホテリエとして働くこととなった。新たな居場所と仲間、それをルーディンがどう思っているかを表に出すことはない。それでも、一度は棄てたマジックを再び行おうとした決意には、その存在が大きく関わっているようだ。

In days past, Roudin had an impressive career as both a genius stage magician and a hero. The older he got, however, the more his popularity faltered. As his dream began to crumble into uncertainty, he lost the ability to transform. He cast his past away and resigned himself to drifting, only to drift into a city of show business and find himself picked up by the owner of an old hotel and employed as a hotelier. Though Roudin does not let on how he feels about his new home and friends, they seem to have had a large influence on his decision to return to the magic he had once abandoned.

祭りの祭典、ギャラクシー・カーニバル・エキスポ。このイベントに日本パビリオンの広告ヒーローとして参加することとなったルーディン。日本にさほど詳しくない彼は、スイとバレルの協力のもと、とにかくステージ映えする衣装をという信念をもって一着のスーツを創り上げる。それは、流鏑馬を思わせる和風のステージ衣装のスーツだった。手にしたパラレルウェポンから放たれる矢は、花火となって弾ける。それはただ相手を倒すためのものではない。俯いたヒトの顔を上げ、ほんのひと時の笑顔と心の片隅に残る思い出を届けたい。そんなルーディンの夢を載せて戦場を、そして夜空を彩るのだ。

The Galaxy Carnival Expo, a festival of festivals. Roudin is there, acting as an advertising Hero for the Japan Pavilion. He doesn’t know too much about this place called Japan, but he worked with Sui and Barrel to put together a suit that would look good in the festival and set the mood. The costume he dons is reminiscent of the mounted archers of old, and he has a bow Parallel Weapon to match. The arrows fired from it become fireworks when launched, and are made not only to defeat threats, but to encourage those staring down in gloom to look up and smile. With that dream of providing relief tucked away in his heart, Roudin decorates the battlefield and the night sky alike.

いつでも飄々とした笑顔を浮かべ、トークとマジックでヒトを楽しませるルーディン。そんな彼は数多くの挫折を経験している。かつてマジシャンとして人気が低迷し、自分を応援していると信じていたヒトたちから心無い言葉を浴びせられ続け、逃げるようにテスフィニートへと移り住んだルーディンは、自暴自棄になり全てがどうでもいいと俯いて生きていた。それでも、ふとした瞬間に人生の全てが変わることがある。空に上がる花火の音と、俯いた先の地面で反射する光に気付いて顔を上げた瞬間、視線の先に自分に差し伸べられた手があるように。だからこそ彼は日常で、ステージで伝え続けるのだ。俯いていてもいい、いつか一瞬だけでも顔を上げられる瞬間がきっとくるんだと。

Roudin is always showing those around him a good time with his charming banter and magic tricks, wearing a laid-back smile all the while. One wouldn’t think it from a first impression, but he’s had his share of setbacks. Many of them, in fact. When his popularity as a magician had dwindled, he suffered the cruel words of those he mistakenly thought would cheer him on. Unable to take it anymore, he ran off and moved to the city of Tesfinite, where he lived for no purpose and with no hope. Even then, all it took was a moment to change his life. He was looking down when he heard fireworks above and noticed their light reflecting on the ground. Glancing up, he admired the colorful explosions as if they were an outstretched hand ready to pull him out of his slump. That is why he endeavors to share his message on stage and in his daily life: you can hang your head in gloom now, because eventually the moment will come when you look up again.
