Under normal circumstances, Gnomon portrays the appearance of a traditional wizard, wearing a robe and wielding a wooden staff. When he transforms, however, he takes on the visage of a wizard of the future, wielding a Parallel Weapon that improves both mobility and tactical effectiveness. His staff Parallel Weapon acts as both a computer and a matter converter, operated by the insertion of coin-shaped materials and the entry of spell chanting codes. In combat he uses techniques one would expect from a wizard, like launching fireballs and calling down lightning, but considering the time his Parallel Weapon requires calculating material usage and processing chanting codes, as well as his poor athletic abilities, he finds himself performing less than stellar in close range engagements.

Gnomon’s family possesses access to the world’s highest-class grimoires, and they have fought through the generations against those who would steal their power or oppress them for it. As a result of this long-standing strife, by the time Gnomon came of age, he found himself living outside of society and feared as the Archmage. Growing up, he spent his days studying magic while living alone with his beloved uncle. Even after the death of his teacher, leaving him by his lonesome, he continues to protect the grimoire said to hold the sole method of avoiding the end of the world. He holds to this duty so that he may entrust the fate of the world to the Chosen One, who is sure to seek him out.

並行宇宙のひとつ「消滅危惧世界」において、惑星エンドアイラ随一の魔法使い・大魔導士と呼ばれている、獅子獣人型宇宙人の青年。常に冷静かつ理知的に、淡々と物事をこなしていくため、冷淡な性格のように見える。しかし実際のところは、素直な感情表現が苦手なだけで、存外感情の起伏は大きい。生まれ育った環境の影響で、他者と関わり合うことが苦手であり、当人はそんな自身を「臆病者」と評する。なお、見上げんばかりの巨躯ではあるが、運動はあまり得意ではない。

Side Story (Translated)

Gnomon is a young Leo Therian Cosman. He hails from the planet Endoaira, in a parallel universe, which is on the brink of destruction. The most powerful spellcaster on his planet, he is referred to as the Archmage. Because of his penchant for tackling everything with a coldly competent and rational eye, people consider him to be distant and aloof, and lacking in feelings. In reality, he simply has a hard time directly expressing his emotions—in fact, his emotional range is far broader than one would expect. Due to his upbringing, he has difficulties interacting with others, and he calls himself a coward for this. Furthermore, although he is prodigious in size, he suffers from a lack of movement and exercise.
