Canes has complicated feelings toward his brother, who is blessed with both a far more impressive build than he and more talent as a space hunter. This led to his overpowering desire to become the strongest of hunters with the greatest of partners, giving birth to his Parallel Weapon. Both massive, floating arms act on their own, protecting or attacking whoever Canes directs them to—whether it be himself or others. Having been trained as a hunter, Canes’ preferred fighting style is to observe his prey, wait for the right moment, then deliver a fatal strike from a blind spot.

開拓中の星ムイラウカＩで生活するヒト型宇宙人の少年。危険な原住生物から開拓地を守る「宇宙猟師」の家に生まれ、見習いとして生活している。真面目で責任感のある彼は、いずれは自身が家業を継ぐものと信じている。同業者の大人たちに囲まれ、同年代はきょうだいのみ、それも自身よりはるかに体躯と身体能力に恵まれている。そんな環境で育ったカネスは日々鍛錬を重ねても皆の背中を追い続けるばかり、いつかひとり取り残されるのではないかという不安を密かに抱いている。
Side Story (Translated)
A young humanoid Cosman who lives on the developing planet of Muirauqa I. Picked up by a family of Space Hunters who protect the planet’s pioneers from dangerous native lifeforms, he lives as a hunter’s apprentice. Diligent and with a strong sense of duty, he believes he will eventually take over the family business. Surrounded by adult hunters, the only person he grew up with around his age was his brother, who also had far greater size and physical abilities than he did. Such an environment pushed Canes to pursue them with constant daily training, fueled by a hidden anxiety that he may be left behind by them someday.

5th Anniversary Hero-encyclopedias
Introduction
Do not underestimate the rookie hero “Canes” as just some newcomer. He is a powerhouse who defeated a large-scale Kaibutsu in his very first battle right after awakening his powers!
He freely manipulates his Parallel Weapon, a set of giant arms, as if it were a part of his own body, switching between offense, cover, and support to match the flow of battle. It is said these giant arms can even be switched to an autonomous mode to protect his companions.
However, his greatest assets are his insight and quick-wittedness. His style of fighting, by observing his target, waiting for an opportunity, then finishing them with a single strike from their blind spot, is exactly like that of a hunter.
At times, he will even act as a decoy to assist his allies.

True Self
In planetary colonization, there are cases where development and settlement proceed while terraforming is avoided, to preserve the original environment as much as possible. This is where Space Hunters come in. They descend to the planet alongside the pioneers to subjugate creatures that pose a threat to humans and to protect the residential areas. It is also their duty to devise and propose methods for use of the creatures that they hunt as raw materials.
Canes is currently undertaking missions in Muirauka I alongside his family and fellow hunters. It seems that, just like with his hero work, he is still a novice here… but it is said that the veteran hunters around him have high hopes for the future of him and his sibling.
He himself is very humble and has a tendency to underestimate his own abilities. However, his physical prowess is exceptionally high; if Canes were to compete in sports against students his age on Earth, he would surely triumph in every event. When we mentioned this to him, he refused to believe it. It seems that because the abilities of his family and companions he lives with are so immense, he has no real grasp of his own potential….
