Side Story

Many mercenaries were once members of armies or militias throughout the galaxy, but none will speak of their past. As veterans of the battlefield, many are well-versed in military tactics, and even more are animated by bloodlust. What they all have in common is their meticulousness in preparing for combat. They know all too well that the slightest mistake or tiniest leaking of information can be fatal. As such, the act of showing one’s face is a sign of hard-won trust—an unspoken rule among their ranks.

どこかの軍隊や戦闘組織に所属していた者が多いようだが、過去の話は必要ないと彼らは口を揃えて答える。数々の戦場を潜り抜けてきただろう彼らは戦略的な者や好戦的な者と性格も様々だが、一つ共通することは戦場に赴く際には必ず入念な準備を整えていることだ。小さなミスや情報の漏洩が自身の命に直結することを彼らは熟知している。そのため、その素顔を晒すことは信頼関係を示す、彼らなりの暗黙の了解なのかもしれない。

貌似其中很多人都曾隶属于某支军队或战斗组织，但他们异口同声地回答说，过去的事没必要再提了。他们曾在无数战场上摸爬滚打，性格各不相同，有的重视策略性，有的比较好战，但有一点是共通的：上战场时一定会做好充分的准备。他们深知，任何一个小失误或信息泄露就会直接让自己尸骨无存。因此，暴露出自己的真面目或许是一种默契，显示他们对彼此的信任。

當中似乎有許多人都曾隸屬於某個軍隊或是戰鬥組織，可他們總是異口同聲地表示過去的事不必重提。身經百戰的他們，有擅長謀劃的、也有好戰的，性格各有不同，但是有一個共同點，那就是每次上戰場之前，一定會做好充分的準備。因為他們深知，一個小小的失誤或是情報洩露都可能危及性命。所以顯現出自己的真面目或許是他們的默契，象徵著對彼此的信任。
